Examples of recent projects include:
- Preparation of employee history and job order databases to determine whether similarly situated African American and white employees had comparable experiences with promotion, job assignments, and disciplinary actions.
- Performance of statistical analyses to investigate the relationship between the age of employees and the probability of their being laid off, with qualifications taken into account.
- Preparation of a visual job analysis, in conjunction with a videographer, to establish a visual record of jobs eliminated during a reduction in force.
- Application of multifaceted data to an investigation of a challenged process for eliminating jobs. Performance appraisals, tenure, veteran’s preference, and selection to particular job assignments were among the factors in our analysis of the extent to which women were negatively affected.
