Rachel Dinkes is a principal researcher at AIR. Throughout her career at AIR, Dr. Dinkes has provided support and expertise to projects supporting the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) Annual Reports program. In her current position supporting NCES, she serves as a member of the Organization of Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Education Working Party. In this role, Dr. Dinkes is responsible for the annual collection, submission, and presentation of the United States’ data for the annual OECD publication, Education at a Glance. She ensures that the United States is accurately and fairly portrayed in the report and that its interests are represented at the biannual meetings, and helps guide the future direction of the report.
Dr. Dinkes participates in two Working Party sub-committees, the Network for the Collection and Adjudication of System-level Descriptive Information on Educational Structures, Policies and Practices and the Labor and Social Market Outcomes Network, and has served as a contributing author to the congressionally mandated report The Condition of Education and managed and authored Indicators of School Crime and Safety for several years.
