Chris D. Times is a senior communications specialist at AIR. She has extensive experience in communications, training, and instructional design in the education research, finance, healthcare, and oil and gas industries. Her primary responsibilities include writing, editing, and developing documents and resources for technical assistance, professional development, and information dissemination work. She also leads the Southeast Comprehensive Center's Information Request Service, which provides research-based reports on key topics to state education agencies.
She previously worked as a communications associate at SEDL (merged with AIR January 1, 2015), a senior instructional designer and a documentation specialist for a federal government contractor, and as a publications editor for a community-based hospital.
Times’ education research interests include college and career readiness, curriculum and instruction, literacy, and school turnaround. She also is interested in proposal development, eLearning, and the use of blended learning to improve instruction and achievement for children, youth, and adults. Recent publications that she coauthored include two SEDL publications, Support and Strategies for Enriching Achievement of Native American Students and Sustaining Statewide School Improvement Initiatives.
