Laura Salganik, Ph.D., is a Vice President at AIR and Director of the Federal Statistics Program. In this role, she serves to oversee the conceptualization, development, and communication of information for advancing knowledge about the state of education through research design and development, statistics, psychometric measurement, assessment design, and education research. Her areas of specialization include competencies, international comparisons of education, indicators, national and international statistics, sociology of education, and she has published extensively in these areas. Dr. Salganik received her Ph.D. in Sociology from The Johns Hopkins University, her C.A.S. in Education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education, and her M.Ed. in Elementary Education from Rhode Island College.
