Research Analyst

Jeffrey Poirier, M.A., is a Research Analyst at the American Institutes for Research. He is currently Deputy Project Director of the Alternative Schools Project, a U.S. Department of Education Office of Special Education Programs grant to study alternative education, and is Deputy Project Director of the Knight Foundation Community Indicators Project. Mr. Poirier contributes to research on alternative education, delinquency prevention, education finance, indicators of community well-being, international education, and juvenile justice. He has co-authored National Center on Education Statistics education finance statistical analysis reports and is currently co-authoring a book chapter on the costs and benefits of prevention for the Handbook of Research in Behavioral Disorders.
