Senior Research Analyst
Kimberly Kendziora, Ph.D., is a Senior Research Analyst at AIR with experience and expertise in child mental health. Since joining AIR in 1998, Dr. Kendziora has worked in the areas of prevention of and intensive services for children and youth at risk for poor developmental outcomes and has a deep research interest in services for children with complex, multi-system needs. In the areas of prevention and early intervention, she currently directs a study of long-term academic outcomes for children who received preschool intervention for behavioral or developmental concerns.
Since 1999, Dr. Kendziora has also been the Coordinator of K nowledge Development and Dissemination for the Technical Assistance Partnership for Child and Family Mental Health, which serves communities receiving federal funding to build local systems of care. Other work in prevention includes leading the establishment of a database of all federally funded initiatives related to the prevention of children’s mental health problems.
Dr. Kendziora recently completed a book chapter for Kluwer/Plenum, Fostering resilience among youth in the juvenile justice system as well as a chapter for Guilford, Research on early intervention for behavior disorders. She has received advanced statistical training, and has a strong background in research and design methods. She received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology in 1995 from the State University of New York at Stony Brook, where she worked as a therapist for children, adults, and couples.
