Regenia Hicks, Ph.D.

Dr. Regenia Hicks has a 28-year history as a clinician, policy maker and administrator of Mental Health services for children, youth and families. She currently serves as Project Director of the National Technical Assistance Center for Child and Family Mental Health as well as the Partnership for Children’s Mental Health.
Prior to joining AIR, she was the first Director of Children’s Mental Health in Texas from 1987 to 1991. Dr. Hicks was also the Director for Children’s Mental Health Services in Maryland from 1991 to 1994. During this time she worked on several interagency initiatives to expand community-based services. Previously, Dr. Hicks was also the Deputy Director of Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services for Harris County ( Houston, Texas). The Mental Health and Mental Retardation Authority is the largest public mental system in the country.
