Sigrid Gustafson, Ph.D.

Principal Research Scientist

Sigrid Gustafson, Ph.D., is a Principal Research Scientist at AIR in Washington, DC. Her area of technical expertise is measurement: psychometrics, including strategies for testing the various classes of reliability and validity; development of new personality assessments based on the virtually “fake-proof” conditional reasoning methodology; and advanced multivariate statistics—including factor analysis, multiple regression, discriminant analysis, canonical correlation, item response theory, MANOVA, and ANOVA, as well as pattern-oriented methodologies. She has authored over 30 journal articles, books, book chapters, and conference presentations on these topics. Dr. Gustafson has also directed research for the Department of Defense and for large public-sector civilian organizations, like the Social Security Administration.
