Sandy Eyster, Ph.D.

Deputy Director of ESSI-Statistics

Sandy Eyster, Ph.D., is Deputy Director of ESSI-Statistics for the Federal Statistics Program. She oversees about 20 projects spanning the areas of early childhood, household surveys, adult and vocational education, international surveys and annual reports. She also provides senior technical support to the Early Childhood Longitudinal Study and the National Household Education Surveys Programs. Her areas of specialization include statistics and survey research methods. Prior to joining AIR, she was a Survey Statistician at the U.S. Bureau of the Census and also applied advanced demographic techniques to the documentation of war crimes and human rights violations in Kosovo. Dr. Eyster received a Master’s Degree in Public Policy from The George Washington University and a Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of Michigan.
