Tracy Costigan, Ph.D.
Senior Research Scientist
Tracy Costigan, a Senior Research Scientist at AIR, applies her expertise in quantitative analysis, statistical methodology, survey design, and program evaluation to a variety of projects. Her research efforts include measurement and test development, education/instructional processes, child mental health, and modeling and prediction of human behavior in high-risk scenarios. She is currently Project Director of Teacher Knowledge of Instructional Processes, a project with the National Center for Educational Statistics (NCES) that is working to design an instrument to measure teacher knowledge of a new framework for instructional processes, student content engagement (SCE). Dr. Costigan is also Project Director of the Federal Interagency Coordinating Council (FICC) Support Task Order, which provides general support to the FICC, an advising body that serves to facilitate coordination of federal resources to ensure that young children with, or at risk for, disabilities and their families get needed services.
Dr. Costigan received her Ph.D. and M.A. from the Medical College of Pennsylvania/Hahnemann University in Clinical Psychology and her B.S. from Tufts University in Biology and Psychology.
