Research and Policy Analysis has become one of AIR’s newest and fastest growing
areas. Our multidisciplinary research teams include national experts in the development
and use of a variety of quantitative and qualitative methods to analyze healthcare
financing, access, and delivery systems. The research and policy analysis group’s
technical and analytical capabilities are fueled by the commitment to making a difference
for consumers by communicating research findings to practitioners, policymakers,
the general public, and the media.
Stronger and more effective prevention and public health campaigns rely on an understanding
of what strategies work best to motivate behavior change. At AIR, researchers and
analysts work collaboratively with colleagues in communications, information sciences,
health education, and other AIR programs to develop and test concepts for campaigns
and initiatives, then monitor and assess changes in attitudes, behavior patterns,
and media coverage. Across teams and projects, best practices and innovation are
highly valued.
Clients include federal and state government, foundations, private healthcare and
research organizations, and universities.
