Quality and Measurement
AIR has been instrumental in the development of Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (CAHPS), the major source of information on consumers’ views about the quality of the care they receive in various settings. Our work involves ratings of health plans, hospitals, dental services and home health.
In addition, we are doing innovative work in the measurement of patient-reported outcomes on quality of life issues and in performance measurement. Development of these measures involves substantial testing and research.
