National State Health Insurance Assistance Program Website
The National State Health Insurance Assistance Program (or SHIP) Resource Center provides information and technical assistance to the fifty-four (54) SHIPs across the country to help them sustain and improve their health insurance counseling and education programs for Medicare beneficiaries. Through the SHIPtalk and National Performance Report Websites, AIR assists SHIPs with program development, performance assessment, monitoring and support.
The SHIPtalk Web site contains:

- Volunteer recruitment, retention and management strategies
- Outreach initiatives and strategies
- Materials for training development and implementation
- Program evaluation tools
- Training, information and outreach materials developed by SHIPs including counselor certification tools, program administration materials, and counseling tools
- Daily news articles on Medicare and other topics of interest to SHIPs
- The SHIP Digest, a biweekly publication prepared by the National SHIP Resource Center that highlights SHIP program activities, Medicare policy changes and updates, CMS publications or announcements, and other topics of interest to SHIPs
