Report: College Readiness Systems Longitudinal Evaluation: EXCELerator Program Impact, Year 2 Report
In 2009, the College Board selected AIR to conduct a longitudinal evaluation of College Readiness Systems. The evaluation examined the implementation and the impact of the program in both College Board and EXCELerator schools. This report focuses on the impact of the EXCELerator program from its inception in the 2006–07 school year through the 2009-10 school year.

Report: Most States Set Student Proficiency Goals at Levels that Are Basic or Lower by NAEP Standards
The standards most states use to determine whether fourth and eighth grade students are proficient in reading and mathematics are set at levels that are equivalent to basic or below basic skills under the standards set by the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) – commonly known as “the nation’s report card.” The results are contained in a new federal report released by NCES and written by AIR experts.

Service: Good Behavior Game Research, Training, and Support
The Good Behavior Game (GBG) is a team-based classroom behavior management strategy that helps young children master the role of student while developing the discipline needed to sit still, pay attention and complete their school work. Report: Condition of Education 2011 Report Offers New Insights Into U.S. Education Trends
AIR experts played a major role in producing the latest edition of The Condition of Education 2011, a congressionally mandated annual report that provides a definitive look at developments and trends in U.S. education. Released by the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES), the report projects that enrollment in U.S. schools is expected to grow through the decade, as the U.S. population increases.

Report: Middle School Mathematics Professional Development Impact Study: Findings After the Second Year of Implementation
This study examines the impact of intensive mathematics professional development (PD) on teachers' knowledge and teaching skills for 7th grade mathematics in rational number topics such as fractions, decimals, percent, ratio, and proportion. The intensive PD studied includes over 100 hours of support in the form of summer institutes, seminars, and in-school coaching.

This IES-funded baseline report provides an overview of the state policies and practices for SIG implementation as well as a description of the first round of SIG awards made to Local Education Agencies (LEAs) and SIG-eligible schools.
