• Vocational Education in Developing Countries

  Vocational education and training play a key role in raising skill levels and improving a society’s productivity. The demand for skilled workers has increased as job specificity and the use of technology have increased. Recognizing the importance of vocational education, AIR works closely with Ministries of Education to support the development and improvement of vocational education programs in countries around the world. AIR’s vocational education projects are conducted either as part of secondary school programs or at separate facilities that offer courses to students from age 15 through adulthood.
