Training is the vehicle used to provide technical support to the educational system. AIR delivers training through different formats including consultation, discussion, presentations, conferences, and workshops. Effective training involves the learners in exploring the issues related to the theme/topic under discussion and provides hands-on-experience and materials that participants can use to demonstrate their understanding.

Malawi Teacher Training Activity (MTTA)
The strategic objective of the Malawi Teacher Training Activity was to improve the quality of primary education by providing professional development opportunities for in-service and pre-service teachers through content-specific and pedagogical training as well as the provision of appropriate teaching and learning materials.

The USAID-funded Ukrainian Standardized External Testing Initiative (USETI) was aimed at helping the Government of Ukraine (GOU) introduce external standardized testing as a mandatory criterion for university admissions, thus mitigating corrupt practices in higher education in Ukraine.

Reducing Exploitive Child Labor in Mozambique (RECLAIM)
RECLAIM withdrew/prevented approximately 2,960 children from exploitive child labor by enrolling them in either formal or vocational education programs, and provided income generation alternatives to 500 women.
