AIR’s Federal Statistics Program is the key organization supporting the work of the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES). NCES, a part of the U.S. Department of Education’s Institute of Education Sciences, fulfills a congressional mandate to collect, analyze and report statistics and information showing the condition and progress of education in the United States and other nations.
