HIV/AIDS and Sexually Transmitted Diseases
AIR sustains an international information network for some 20,000 health professionals combating HIV/AIDS. The product, the Prevention News Update, is a daily news summary of the major developments in the field with findings that impact medical meetings and the public. In partnership with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, AIR has developed a national plan to eliminate syphilis by mobilizing key group from providers to patients, from community to faith-based organizations to target counties where a high prevalence of the disease exists.
