American Institutes for Research Experts to Present at Annual American Association for Public Opinion Research Conference

Public opinion and survey experts from AIR will present several sessions at the 79th annual American Association for Public Opinion Research (AAPOR) conference, being held May 15-17 at the Hilton Atlanta in Atlanta, GA.

The conference theme is “Impacting Communities” and spotlights the many ways that public opinion and survey research is having an impact on communities. The conference allows attendees to network with colleagues, learn the latest updates and trends in the field, and make new connections.

This year, AIR is co-sponsoring AAPOR’s Conference Experience program, which allows select students from underrepresented backgrounds in the Atlanta area to attend AAPOR and learn more about the public opinion research field, discover exciting career opportunities, and meet AAPOR members and attendees. AIR staff will have an active role with the students, including serving as docents, attending a welcome luncheon, and sitting with the students during the Presidential Address.

Founded in 1947, AAPOR is the largest professional organization of public opinion and survey research professionals in the U.S. Members come from a variety of fields, including election polling, market research, statistics, research methodology, health related data collection, and education. AAPOR seeks to build better public understanding of its members’ work and promote ethical conduct and sound use of survey and public opinion research.

AIR is a Silver conference sponsor and will have an exhibition booth (Booth #305) in the Exhibit Hall. Sessions featuring AIR experts and their work are listed below (all times are Eastern Daylight Time). Learn more about the conference at https://aapor.org/aapor-79th-annual-conference/.
